Dennis Mlalazi has a wide-ranging experience in nursing generally, spanning more than three decades. Dennis worked in nursing in rural and urban settings in Zimbabwe. In the rural settings, Dennis oversaw the implementation of many community health projects which included, schools supplementary feeding programs, sanitation programs, malaria prevention programs and health education programs to name a few, working collaboratively with the local health care personnel in two provinces when he worked for a non-Governmental Organisation in Zimbabwe. In Urban settings, Dennis worked in a Central Hospital and the City Health Department health centres and an isolation hospital.

Dennis also worked in nursing in the Zimbabwe Army Medical Corps (ZAMC) upon enlisting as a qualified nurse. He became an attested Non-Commissioned Officer rising through the ranks becoming a Commissioned Officer a few years later. Dennis was then Officer in Charge of a Camp Hospital and responsible for the health of all Battalion deployments in a province.

Dennis Continues to work in nursing in Australia for more than one and half decades as of this day, mainly working in aged care and disability care. Dennis has previously worked as a Clinical Manager for one and half years. Upon promotion to Clinical Manager role, Dennis immediately became part of the management team that successfully facilitated a re-accreditation audit of a 110-bed aged care facility. Dennis later successfully facilitated an unannounced re-accreditation audit that investigated medication management in the nursing home. Dennis has had the experience of working for nursing agencies for more than a decade.
